National Patient Safety Community
With so many individuals, organizations and foundations actively involved in patient
safety advocacy and services, we conducted the first national survey in 2008 to identify
this unique community, their mission, programs and impact toward patient-centered
care. In 2010, the results from this survey was published in the first National
Patient Safety Directory, listing 50 such organizations and 81 official Patient Safety
Organizations at that time.
We recognize and commend these organizations in their diversity, creativity, commitment
and demonstrative success toward a true paradigm shift in the improving the quality
and safety of our healthcare system. The National Patient Safety Community supports
patients and families with helpful information, shared experiences (stories), advice,
referrals, and other resources.
If your organizations wishes to be listed in our National Directory, please complete
our Annual Patient Safety Survey. The second edition of our National Directory will
published and released in 2014.
