Center for Integrated Health Care and Wellness
The Center for Integrated Health Care and Wellness leads the research and practice
of integrated health care and wellness to introduce and educate patients and families
to the concept of holistic medicine and the appropriate use of complementary and
alternative medicine(CAM).
Today’s most perplexing public health concerns are chronic diseases such as cardiovascular
disease and cancer. In conjunction with this trend there has been a shift in health
consumer patterns to seek out alternative or complementary therapies.
It is important for patients and healthcare practitioners to understand and be properly
informed about these newly emerging healthcare trends.
