Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Screening Center
To provide ongoing data collection for our Traumatic Brain Injury Study, Community
Medical Foundation set up the Traumatic Brain Injury Screening Center at our main
office located at 6300 West Loop South, Suite 288, Bellaire, Texas 77401.
If you have experienced a recent head trauma due to a motor vehicle crash, fall,
assault, sport-related injury or military combat and wish to have a TBI screen performed,
please contact us for an appointment at our TBI Screening Center. We also can monitor
your recovery rate after a head trauma. If you suffer from a severe head trauma,
you should seek immediate medical attention.
The 20-minute screening appointment involves a short interview with a questionnaire
and measurement of fine motor control on both hands. All individuals who agree to
undergo the TBI screen will be asked to sign an informed consent form for participation
in our study. Test results and report are available within 24 hours with free consultation
and referral in person or by telephone.
The cost of TBI screen may or may not be covered by your health insurance carrier.
